Tab Dialog Box:
Signals

The Signals tab page indicates the names of all signals or Channels that can be recorded via the detector. In addition, it displays the signal unit and the amplifying factor of the respective signal.

For detectors that record analog signals via the UCI Universal Chromatography Interface, the channel must be indicated. In addition, an adjustable (signal) offset must be specified.

Select a channel and click Change to edit the signal settings on the Signal Configuration dialog box, in particular to assign the signal a channel of the UCI Universal Chromatography Interface or any other interface..

Name

Check a box to enable or disable the corresponding signal or the device channel. Only active signals can be used in Chromeleon, i.e., only these can be adjusted. Raw data can be recorded only for these signals/channels.

Select the name; the Change button is enabled. Click this button to open the Signal Configuration page (or double-click).

For information about signal names, refer to Naming Devices....

Channel

This column indicates which channel of the UCI or of the A/D card is used for recording the raw data. If there is no entry (<None>), you have to assign a channel. Select a device channel from the Name column and click Change to define the name, the channel assignment, the timebase assignment, the amplifying factor, and the offset.

Unit

Indicates the signal unit of the recorded Raw Data .

Factor

Indicates the currently set amplifying factor for this channel.

Offset

Indicates the currently defined offset for this channel.
