Tab Dialog Box:
Heat Source & Pump Link

Determine how the detector cell is heated and link the detector to a pump that is installed in the same timebase:

Heat Source Type

For an electrochemical detector in conductivity mode, select either DS3 (for a DS3 Detection Stabilizer) or Oven (for a chromatography oven).

For an electrochemical detector in DC or integrated amperometry mode, select either None or Oven.

Link to Pump

(Required for conductivity detectors only): If there is more than one pump in the timebase, select the pump to which this detector should be linked. If there is only one pump in the timebase, the detector is automatically linked to it. Select <None> if the timebase does not include a pump.

The Heat Source & Pump Link tab page is part of the detector’s configuration properties. To open the tab page:

  1. In the Server Configuration program, select the detector.

  2. Select Properties from the Edit menu and then select the Heat Source & Pump Link tab.

 Note:

If you are configuring a system that includes an oven, you must also specify the oven in the pump’s configuration properties. For more information, refer to the Oven tab page.
