Tab Dialog Box:
DAC Flow A/B

Determine how the pump connected for flow A (or B) is controlled.

Option

Description

Max Flow:

Specify the required voltage value for the pump to deliver a maximum flow of exactly X ml per minute.

Min Flow:

Specify the required voltage value for the pump to deliver a maximum flow of exactly X ml per minute. Generally, 0ml are delivered at 0V.

Output Voltage Range:

Select the voltage range that was selected when installing the 12-bit DAC card (see  12-Bit DAC-Card/Jumper Settings).

DAC Channel Polarity:

Specify whether the connected pumps are operated via the bipolar or the unipolar output of the 12-bit-DAC-card.

The voltage range of unipolar outputs is from 0 to 5V or 10V. For bipolar outputs, the range is from -5/10V to +5/10V.

If possible, use only the unipolar outputs.

Dionex recommends using the unipolar outputs, as only this guarantees 0V at the 12-DAC-card output when turning on the pump and the computer!
