Automatic Installation (Unattended Mode)

To install Chromeleon on several computers, Dionex recommends using the Unattended Mode. In this mode, you need not make the necessary entries during the installation. Instead, previously made settings are used for installation as follows:

The Setup.exe file is available in the  CM680SRxx subfolder on the Chromeleon software CD. Start the setup from a command line (Start > Run or Windows Command Prompt). Type one or more of the following parameters behind the setup information in the command line:

/unattended or /ua: Starts the setup in the unattended mode.

/?: Shows a list of available setup parameters.

/nousbwdminst or /nowdm: Skips automatic (re)installation of USB kernel drivers.

/noquicksupport or /noqsup: Skips installation of the Dionex QuickSupport tool (based on TeamViewer V6.0).

/noicc: Skips installation of the CTC PAL Instrument Control Components to avoid conflicts with existing installations.

The following additional parameters are available in unattended mode:

/instpath=<path> or /ip=<path>: Defines the target path for the installation.

/progfolder=<folder> or /pf=<folder>: Defines the name of the program folder in the start menu.

/autostart or /sm: Adds the Server Monitor to the Startup/Autostart group.

/allowreboot or /rb: Allows you to reboot during setup.

/prepareForMS or /ems: Prepares MS control for the Chromeleon server.

/scdesk or /scd: Adds shortcuts to the desktop.

/noscdesk or /noscd: Does not add shortcuts to the desktop.

/scstart or /scs: Adds shortcuts to the Start menu.

/noscstart or /noscs: Does not add shortcuts to the Start menu.

 Notes:

If neither a scdesk nor a noscdesk command is entered, Chromeleon uses the setting from the last installation. The default setting for the initial installation is scdesk.

If neither a scstart nor a noscstart command is entered, Chromeleon uses the setting from the last installation. The default setting for the initial installation is scstart.
