User ID Defaults
Use the User Database Policies tab page to configure the default User IDs for the Logon dialog and for the Signature:

(Default) Select this option to display the ID of the last user when the logon dialog box is opened. |

Blank |
Select this option to display a blank User ID field in the logon dialog box. Tip: Blank is a very secure option because the user has to completely enter both the User ID and the Password. |

Windows User ID |
Select this option to display the ID of the logged on Windows user when the logon dialog box is opened. Note: In this case, it is also possible for a user different from the Windows user to log on to Chromeleon. |

Force Windows User ID |
Select this option to display the ID of the logged on Windows user when the logon dialog box is opened. Note: In this case, only the currently logged on Windows user can log on to Chromeleon. |

Signature |

Currently logged on user |
(Default) Select this option to display the ID of the logged on Chromeleon user when the signature dialog box is opened. Note: In this case, a user different from the logged on user can sign. |

Force currently logged on user |
Select this option to display the ID of the currently logged on Chromeleon user when the signature dialog box is opened. Note: In this case, only the logged on Chromeleon user is allowed to sign sequences. If a different user must sign the next steps, the currently logged on user has to exit Chromeleon and the other user has to log on. |

|

Windows User ID |
Select this option to display the ID of the logged on Windows user when the signature dialog box is opened. |
Note:
If you update a Chromeleon CmUser database £ 6.40 and if, so far, Only allow to logon with the current windows User ID has been the logon option, Force Windows User ID is the default setting for logging on to the updated Chromeleon CmUser database.
