LDAP Logon

Use this tab page to determine how password authentication is performed in Windows:

Delegate logon and signature password verification to the operating system.

Select this check box to delegate the Chromeleon logon and signature password verification to the operating system.

In the Domain/Domain Controller input field, enter the domain(s) to which this setting shall apply.

 Note:

To enter multiple domains, separate the entries by a semicolon.

Allow silent logon with current windows user id and password.

Select this check box to perform the Chromeleon logon automatically with the Windows credentials. In this case, it is no longer required that the user logs on manually when Chromeleon is started if:

  • The current Windows user is member of the user database.

  • The current Windows user has logged on to the domain instead of being logged on only locally.

  • The user account is not locked in the Chromeleon user database.

  • The domain to which the current user logged on to Windows appears in the Domain/Domain Controller field (see above).

 Note:

The system does not check upper and lower case. However, for example, if the current domain is Dionex.de but the entry in the Domain/Domain Controller field is Dionex, the logon will fail.
