Compatibility

To take full advantage of the extended security features of Chromeleon (from version 6.10 on), disable Compatibility mode. This action ensures that previous Client versions cannot log on to a new CmUser database.

 Caution:

To allow previous Chromeleon clients (£ 6.01) to log on, make sure that the Compatibility mode is enabled.

ORACLE databases provide different country settings for the client software. By mistake, some stations might then regard the database as "corrupt." To avoid this, select the Use country settings independent encryption check box under Checksum Encryption. However, be sure that Chromeleon 6.40 or higher is installed on all PCs.
