Description: |
The Relative Standard Deviation is the standard deviation in relation to the size of the measured values (average); that is, the standard deviation is normalized. In contrast to absolute standard deviations, relative standard deviations can be compared (for values around 1000 a standard deviation of 1 is minor, for values around 10, this is a major deviation). In Chromeleon, the relative standard deviation is expressed in percent. |

Function: |
The relative standard deviation (relStdDev) is calculated as follows from the absolute standard deviation (StdDev):

Note:
|
The standard deviation is calculated differently for calibration curves and for system suitability test and reports. For more information, refer to Standard Deviation (for calibration curves) and STDEV (for system suitability tests and reports). |
