Vanquish Autosampler and Charger: Troubleshooting

Impossible to Reconnect Charger after Communication Interruption

If attempts fail to reconnect the Charger with Chromeleon, for example, after a power outage, unplug and then replug the Charger's USB cable. Subsequently, the Charger can be reconnected with Chromeleon using the Connect command.

If you unplug the cable or switch off the Charger while it is connected with Chromeleon, the following error message may come up in rare cases: "Driver Vanquish Autosampler (Vanquish_Autosampler.dll) has terminated. This is a fatal error, you need to restart the server to recover."

If this error occurs, perform the following steps:

  1. If there are any other devices configured on the server, wait until these devices become idle.

  2. Stop the Chromeleon Server.

  3. Re-establish physical connection between the Charger and the PC and/or turn on the Charger.

  4. Restart the Chromeleon Server.
