Thermo Scientific Accela/Surveyor Plus Autosampler: Sample Positions

The Thermo Scientific Accela and Surveyor Plus autosampler supports three tray types:

Chromeleon calculates the sample positions for these tray types as follows:

Vial trays

From the left to the right side of the tray compartment, the five sample trays are designated A, B, C, D, and E. Each tray holds 40 standard vials arranged in two rows of 20. The vial located at the bottom left of tray A has position A1, the vial located at the top right of tray A has position A40. The numbering is the same for all trays.

96-well plates

From the front to the back of the tray compartment, the three well plates are designated A, B, and C. Each well plate has 8 x 12 wells designated A1 through H12:

The well located at the top left of plate A (front) has position AA1, the well located at the bottom right of plate A has position AH12.

The well located at the top left of plate B (middle) has position BA1, the well located at the bottom right of plate B has position BH12.

The well located at the top left of plate C (back) has position CA1, the well located at the bottom right of plate C has position CH12.

384-well plates

From the front to the back of the tray compartment, the three well plates are designated A, B, and C. Each well plate has 16 x 24 wells designated A1 through P24:

The well located at the top left of plate A (front) has position AA1, the well located at the bottom right of plate A has position AP24.

The well located at the top left of plate B (middle) has position BA1, the well located at the bottom right of plate B has position BP24.

The well located at the top left of plate C (back) has position CA1, the well located at the bottom right of plate C has position CP24.
