Use this dialog box to select and assign a report column of a Peak Summary.

Categories:

Select a specific variable type. A distinction is made between result and calibration variables and variables of the peak table.

Variables:

This list displays all variables of the currently selected category. Select the variable with the mouse. If the Parameter button is enabled, further settings are possible for the variable.

The four fields Formula, Header, Dimension, and Format define the appearance in the report column.

Formula...:

This field displays the mathematical expression of the selected variable. Chromeleon uses this expression for internal calculations.

Linking several report variables (see Report Categories) via the four basic arithmetical operations generates a new report variable (see How to: Creating and Using Report Tables  Linking Report Variables). Several known variables can thus be combined to form a new variable.

For example, if you want to place the peak height in relation to the corresponding amount, this can be expressed as follows:

peak.height / peak.amount

 Note:

The Additional Functions supported in the Printer Layout, such as SUM or AVERAGE, are not supported here.

Header...:

The term in quotation marks is used as a column header in the report.

Dimension...

The field indicates the dimension displayed in the report.

Format...

The field indicates the number format in which the individual values are expressed.

Select a report column and then select the Number Format command on the Format menu to modify the number format.
