Program Wizard/PGM Editor:
Sampler Parameter (Vanquish Autosampler)
Define the general settings for the Vanquish autosampler, such as speed and wash parameters.
Option |
Description |
Draw Speed |
Specify the speed at which the sample is drawn into the needle. |
Dispense Speed |
Specify the speed at which sample is dispensed into the injection port. |
Inject Wash Mode |
Specify whether a wash cycle is to be performed for the needle:
Wash Time |
If a wash mode is defined, specify the duration of the wash cycle. |
Wash Speed |
Specify the flow speed of the wash liquid provided by the wash pump. Note: If you upgraded to Chromeleon 6.80 DU15a or later but use an PGM file created with a previous Chromeleon version, you will get an error message that the WashSpeed value is out of range, and the program cannot be started anymore. In order to fix your program, change the WashSpeed value manually: Divide the old value by 0.06 and enter the new value. |
Flow is delivered by |
Specify the module delivering the flow to the inject valve. |
Puncture Offset |
The puncture offset defines how much the needle opens the septum. The carousel moves by the specified value while the needle remains in the septum, thus enlarging the hole in the septum and equalizing the pressure. Specify the distance the carousel moves to enlarge the hole in the septum. This can be useful in particular for vials that are filled to the maximum, or for poorly degassed samples. |
Enable Stroke Synchronization |
Select to enable pump stroke synchronization of the sampling and injection process with a Vanquish Quaternary pump or any other pump supporting pump stroke synchronization. Note: This option is only available if the VAS driver is linked to a corresponding pump. This can be done either in the Vanquish Autosampler Configuration Wizard or later on the Links tab in the sampler configuration. |
