Program Wizard/Program Editor:
Timed Events Options

Use this page of the Program Wizard or PGM Editor to define TRACE 1300 Series GC functions to be performed at a specific time in the program. For more information about the wizard or editor, refer to  The Program Wizard or  The PGM Editor (Overview).

Function list

Select a function to be added to the Time/Device/Property/Value table. The list (left column) shows only the functions for the components installed in the GC in the current timebase.

After you select a function, the parameters for the function are displayed. Select the desired parameters and click Add to add the function and parameters to the table.

Retention Time

Enter the time in the program at which Chromeleon should perform the selected function.

  Notes:

  • All timed events before the inject command are handled as prep-run commands. Timed events that follow the inject command are handled as run-time events.

  • If any TimedAutoZero Command occurs at retention time = 0.00 or earlier, or is not specified, an error message will be displayed (TimedAutozero timed event not allowed before injection) and the PGM cannot be run until the error is corrected.

Add

Adds the function selected in the Function list to the table. The Time specified for the function determines its order in the table.

Delete

Removes the selected function and its properties from the table.

Timed Events for Analog Output Interfaces

The analog output interface (AOI) permits the analog output of GC detector signals. You can manually configure AOI settings using the instrument’s keypad. You can enter timed events to change the gain range of an AOI channel during the prep-run and run time phases. These settings are not deleted when Chromeleon sends a program file to the GC.

For more information about configuring AOI settings, refer to the operating instructions of the GC.
