Generic Device Driver
The "Channel Device" Device Type
The channels of detectors have to be assigned to the analog inputs on the UCI Universal Chromatography Interface during installation. Chromeleon supports these detectors when automatically generating programs with the Program Wizard.
Note:
Contrary to many other detectors, generic detector drivers do not support digital data acquisition.
The predefined functions of the Standard Device type (see The "Standard Device" Device Type) are also required for detectors. In addition, the Wavelength, Range, and Response properties and the Autozero function are options.
Wavelength indicates the wavelength with which the channel was recorded.
Range defines the factor for increasing or decreasing the analog output signal.
Response is a filter parameter. Use low values for narrow peaks. Use higher values to reduce the noise.
Autozero resets the output signal to zero.
When installing the driver, the channel needs to be connected to an analog signal. In addition, the signal parameters must be set.
