Installing the Serial PCI Interface Card (VScom)

 Tips:  

The serial VScom PCI interface card is no longer available from Dionex. However, as serial VScom PCI interface cards may still be used in the field, refer to the corresponding installation instructions below.

This card is not supported under Windows Vista or later.

1. Use a Different PCI Slot

With some of those cards, problems might occur during the installation procedure. If the card driver does not recognize the card, reinstall the card in the PCI slot nearest to the main board. Then, it should be possible to install the card without further difficulties.

2. BIOS Reset

You may as well reset the BIOS. Depending on your PC, do this under either Reset PCI Configuration or Reset Plug & Play Configuration. For DELL PCs, follow the steps below:

• When booting the PC, press the F2 key to change to the BIOS Setup.

• Press the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock keys on the keyboard. The corresponding LEDs light up.

• Simultaneously press the ALT+E key and then the ALT+F keys.
