Installing the 16-Bit DAC Card "DAC340"/PDA DA Converter
Connecting the Analog Outputs

 Tips:

Due to its obsolete technology, the 16-bit DAC card is no longer available from Dionex. However, 16-bit DAC cards may still be used in the field. Therefore, refer to the installation instructions below if necessary.

This card is not supported under Windows Vista or later.

After you have installed and configured the 16-bit DAC card, four analog outputs are available on the PC's rear panel, via the two-row 50-pin card connector. Use the ribbon cable shipped with the card.

The 16-bit analog outputs are the pins named Chan 16, 17, 18, and 19 on the component side of the card. If, on the card's connector, the pins are counted from left to right and from top to bottom, these are the pins 33, 35, 37, and 39 that are located directly below each other in the left row. The corresponding analog ground is located directly below (pin 41).

 Caution:

Always use the analog ground (pin 41). Do not use the digital ground (pin 44)!
