Installing the 16-Bit DAC Card "DAC340"/PDA DA Converter
Setting Interrupts, Wait States, and Jumpers

 Tips:

Due to its obsolete technology, the 16-bit DAC card is no longer available from Dionex. However, 16-bit DAC cards may still be used in the field. Therefore, refer to the installation instructions below if necessary.

This card is not supported under Windows Vista or later.

Set the PC IRQ on the JP3 jumper block. It is located on the lower edge of the card, underneath the red DIP switch. As the card is operated without interrupt in Chromeleon, no additional alterations are required.

The J2 jumper (on the left edge of the card) sets additional wait states. Usually, the default setting (1 wait state) is sufficient. If there are problems with the card, such as spikes or no signal, a larger number of wait states can be set. The function of the jumpers is indicated directly on the card.

Do not change the settings of any other jumpers (JP1, 6-13) on the card.
