Valves (ThermoQuest/Thermo Scientific TRACE GC)
Use this tab page to configure valves and/or external events for the TRACE GC (2000/Ultra). Up to eight valves/events can be added.
Note:
Refer to the 'Valves' submenu of the GC configuration for information about which valve types and external events are currently configured for the GC.

By default, valve/external event support is deactivated. Select a check box from the numbered list to enable input for the associated line. |

Enter a unique device name. |

Valve Type |
Select the required valve type: GSV (Gas Sampling Valve), External (to control an external event), Switch (switching valve) or Multipos (multi-position valve). Tip: The FOCUS GC displays all available external events in the Valves submenu of the GC configuration menu; for the TRACE GC, refer to the run time event table section on the GC display for information on available external events. |

Enter the appropriate valve ID. Refer to the Valve section of the GC configuration or the runtime event table section on the GC display to verify which ID is assigned to the respective valve. |

Position / Default |
(Gas sampling and multi-position valves only) GSV: Specify the default valve position as defined in the Valves submenu of the GC configuration. Available values: 0 (= 'Load') or 1 (= 'Inject'). Multipos: Specify the number of positions of the multi-position valve. The accepted range is from 2 to 255. |
Note:
If the GC is shared between two timebases, the first four valves are assigned to the 'left' timebase, while the remaining valves are assigned to the 'right' timebase.
