Select the installed pump head.

 Tips:

The Gradient Former is intended for operation with the 420 and 422 HPLC pumps. The default setting is 0.05 - 10 ml/min.

When using the Gradient Former, make sure that the flow rate does not exceed 5 ml/min even though the pump head is specified for flow rates of up to 10 ml/min.

Gradient Former Bios version

Select the CAM version of the associated pump:

Version 1: old CAM version (only old 420 pumps - see Tip below)

Version 2: new CAM version (422 pump and new 420 pumps - see Tip below)

 Tip:

For the 422 pump, always select Version 2 (new CAM version). For 420 pumps with serial numbers 25-2350 and higher, select Version 2 (new CAM version). Also, select Version 2 for pumps with the following serial numbers:

24-1802, 24-1803, 24-1804, 24-1805,

24-1815, 24-1816, 24-1817, 24-1819, 24-1821.

For all other CAM serial numbers, select Version 1 (old CAM version).

Don’t read current pressure value from pump

Select this check box to ignore any commands that the pump sends to Chromeleon. In this case, the pump only receives commands from Chromeleon.

However, this does not apply to error messages sent by the pump.
