Inject Port/Switching Valve (Gilson XL Series)

The autosamplers of the XL-series can operate two motorized switching valves. The first valve (Inject Port) is intended for injection. The second valve (Switching Valve) is usually not connected, but can also be used for injection, for example, with an additional injection loop, after correct installation.

 Caution:

With the Aspec XL autosampler, the Z coordinates vary, depending on the needle type used. Check the settings, using a non-fixed needle, before using the Aspec XL for standard operation. Incorrect settings may damage the Aspec XL hardware. The following needle has been tested: Constricting needle, 183 mm stroke (Gilson reference nos. 460969 and 460973) (needle length 220 mm). When you use this needle for the ASPECXL.gty tray file, enter 56.0 mm for the Z coordinate.
