Configuring the Chromeleon Server
Checking the Server Configuration
After you have installed and configured new components, check the current server configuration.
Select Check Configuration… on the Server menu to start the check. Chromeleon displays the results in a separate dialog box.
If no errors or conflicts occur, save the configuration.
If a tone sounds, or if several warnings appear, you may want to change the current configuration.
If the system issues an error message, find and eliminate the cause.
Installation and Configuration Report
The report contains information about the server (name, key code, copy protection, access groups) and about the connected timebases (name, access groups). In addition, the report lists the settings of the instruments that are installed in the timebase.
For example, the report shows which detector channels are used, which settings were selected (Offset, Factor, etc.), which Sharable Devices the configuration contains, etc.
To generate a report, select Create Report on the Server menu. The report is available in the Windows clipboard and can be inserted in other applications.
Click Save to store the report in the CmInst.log file. The report is always saved to the Bin directory on the server.
To print the report, click Print. In addition, the report is saved (see above).
